Service Opportunities

Youth Service Groups

Youth groups, we invite you to come to Camp to work on a special project. Youth groups receive a discount based on the number of hours worked. Youth leaders are encouraged to make reservations well in advance for best selection of dates. Projects may vary depending upon the needs of the camp. Some groups may offer to pay for part of the supplies for the project. Projects vary from building porches to trail work to painting to spring cleaning to dishwashing. We have a special information sheet available for leaders considering a youth service trip to Camp on the Boulder. Plan to enjoy hiking in the mountains and all camp activities while you are with us.

Volunteer Families

The volunteer families work side by side with our ministry team for a week, working in the camp store, washing dishes, mowing lawn, etc. Lodging and meals are provided for our volunteer families at no cost. Your lodging will depend upon what buildings are reserved for our guests. Most likely you will be in one of our small cabins, with a shower house nearby. You are also welcome to bring an RV or trailer and use one of our RV sites for the week. We will plan lots of holes in your schedule for your own family time, sight-seeing, hiking, relaxing, etc. Plus, we hope you’ll join our ministry team for fellowship and worship. The families are a blessing to us, enabling us to meet our staffing needs on a limited budget. We have an application for volunteer families who are interested.

NOMADS

NOMADS (Nomads On a Mission Active in Divine Service) are invited to drop-in anytime during the season to help with whatever projects are needed. We often have special three-week projects during the summer months. NOMADS do maintenance projects, but may also be invited to help with the kitchen or housekeeping. NOMADS usually stay in RVs, though we do have cabin space available if needed. NOMADS are encouraged to join us for meals whenever meals are being served in the dining hall, as well as devotions, worship, and other camp activities. There is no cost for NOMADS. The relationships formed between our ministry team and NOMADS have been a blessing to many.

*Helpful Note: All volunteers are asked to sign a volunteer release agreement and health form before working at camp. Please make reservations in advance, so we can fit you into our calendar. We can send you an information packet, packing list, maps, and anything else to help you in planning for your visit. If you are coming from out-of-state, you’ll want to be sure to visit Yellowstone, Chico Hot Springs, and other attractions while you are in the area.

Thank you for thinking of us for your service project! God bless you in your service for Him!
