The property which is now the Camp, started as a guest ranch known as “Hell’s Canyon Ranch”. Most of the original buildings dating from before 1918 are still in use today. Numerous additions have graced the surroundings of Camp on the Boulder since it became a church camp. Two notable additions include the Dunn Dining Hall which is able to accommodate 200 – 250 guests at a sitting and the Tabernacle with room enough for up to 350 persons.

Camp on the Boulder is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Yellowstone Conference of the United Methodist Church.
